What dirhams are needed for
The UAE is a destination where costs are counted in local currency only: rent, school, clinics, car hire and everyday spending. A ruble card does not work there, so dirhams are needed in advance — in cash or to a local account.
The dirham is pegged to the dollar at a fixed rate, and in our calculations it is derived from the Central Bank dollar. That means there are no sharp jumps inside the pair: the figure moves as much as the dollar moves.
