1. Who processes your data
The data controller is Globe_EX, an international money transfer and currency exchange service operating at globe-ex.io.
The legal entity responsible for processing will be named in this section once it is registered. Until then, all data protection enquiries are accepted at support@globe-ex.io and handled within the time limits set out in section 9.
We do not provide banking services, do not open accounts and do not hold client funds. This directly limits what we collect: we neither request nor receive your payment card details or identity documents through this website.
2. What data we receive
Data you provide yourself in the request form: your full name, email address, the sending and receiving currency and the amount. If you write to a manager directly, whatever you share in that conversation is added: a messenger handle, a phone number, the preferred payout method and any free-form details.
Recipient details, if you provide them: name, account or card details, country and payout method. You share them on your own initiative and confirm that you are entitled to do so.
Technical data collected automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages visited and time of visit, and the address of the page you arrived from.
- We do not request passports or other identity documents through the website.
- We do not receive your payment card data: the website does not process payments.
- We do not collect biometric data, health data, religious or political beliefs, or any other special categories of personal data.
- We do not buy databases and do not enrich your profile from third-party sources.
3. Why we process data and on what legal basis
To calculate the amount, agree the rate, carry out the transfer and confirm the credit. Legal basis: performance of a contract entered into at your request, and steps taken prior to entering into it.
To answer your enquiry, resolve a dispute and evidence what was agreed. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in defending against unfounded claims, and your interest in resolving the dispute.
To understand how visitors use the site and make it better. Legal basis: your consent, which you may withdraw through your browser settings.
To comply with applicable law, including anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing obligations. Legal basis: a legal obligation.
We do not take decisions producing legal effects concerning you by automated means: every request is reviewed by a person.
4. Cookies and web analytics
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your device on a later visit. We use two kinds.
Essential cookies keep the site working — for example, remembering the currencies you selected in the calculator. Without them some features stop working.
Analytics cookies collect anonymised visit statistics. They are optional: you can disable them in your browser settings or browse in private mode.
The office map is loaded from a third-party mapping service. While the map loads, that service acts as an independent controller and may set its own cookies under its own policy. If you never scroll to the map, no request is made to it.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data, do not pass it to advertising networks and do not use it for mailings you have not subscribed to.
Sharing happens only to the extent necessary for a specific purpose, and only with the following categories of recipients.
- The hosting and infrastructure provider whose servers run the website.
- The web analytics provider — in anonymised form.
- Banks, payment systems and partners through which a specific transfer is carried out — limited to what makes the transfer possible, normally the recipient details and the amount.
- Public authorities — upon a reasoned request, in the manner and to the extent required by law.
6. International transfers of data
The service is international by nature: a transfer to another country cannot be made without sending the recipient's details to that country. Your data may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, including in jurisdictions whose level of data protection differs from the one you are used to.
We require partners receiving the data to treat it no worse than described in this policy. By submitting a request with a recipient abroad you agree to such a transfer: without it the payment cannot be made.
7. How long we keep data
Correspondence about a request — for the duration of the transaction and a reasonable period afterwards, needed to deal with possible complaints.
Technical server logs — no longer than twelve months.
Data we are required by law to retain — for the period the law prescribes, even if you ask us to delete it sooner.
Data that is no longer needed and not subject to a retention obligation is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Regardless of your country of residence we honour the rights listed below. The law applicable to you may grant more, but never less.
- To know whether we process your data and obtain a copy of it.
- To have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- To have your data erased where the ground for keeping it has fallen away and no legal obligation requires retention.
- To restrict processing or object to it, including processing based on legitimate interest.
- To withdraw consent where processing is based on it — web analytics, for instance.
- To receive your data in a machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller.
- To lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: Roskomnadzor in Russia, or the supervisory authority of your country of residence in the European Economic Area.
9. How to exercise your rights
Write to support@globe-ex.io and describe what you want. No special form is required.
We reply within the period set by the law applicable to you; where no such period is set, within thirty calendar days of receiving your request.
To avoid disclosing your data to someone else, we may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you — for example, by writing from the same address or the same messenger account used for the original request.
If we refuse a request, we explain why and tell you where the decision can be appealed.
10. How we protect data
The website runs over HTTPS: what you submit is encrypted in transit.
Access to client correspondence is limited to staff who need it for their work.
No client database is kept on the website side: a submitted request goes to the manager through a messenger, and the site does not store it. This reduces the amount of data that could be stolen at all.
Absolute security does not exist and we do not claim it. If a breach occurs that is likely to harm you, we will inform the affected users and notify the supervisory authority as required by law.
11. Children's data
The service is not intended for persons under eighteen and we do not knowingly collect their data. If it turns out that a child's data has reached us, it will be deleted.
12. Changes to this policy
We may amend this policy: services, laws and the site itself change. The current version is published on this page and the date is shown at the top of the document.
Material changes — a new category of data recipients, for example — are announced visibly on the site rather than by silently replacing the text.
13. How to contact us
For data protection matters, including the rights listed above, write to support@globe-ex.io. For questions about a transfer a messenger is faster — the links are in the footer and on the contacts page.
